Established in 1889, The Christ Hospital serves Greater Cincinnati as a major teaching center and regional referral center. Thanks in part to strong programs in medicine, oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral medicine, surgery and surgical subspecialties, The Christ Hospital has the reputation as Cincinnati’s premier adult hospital, based on market research.
The Christ Hospital has pioneered the use of leading-edge cardiovascular procedures in Greater Cincinnati. The hospital regularly performs renal transplants and has an established electrophysiology laboratory. There are three state of the art intensive care units, endoscopy labs, dialysis facilities, and the most advanced radiology equipment in the city. In 2003, a $77 million addition was constructed. The Heart Center of Greater Cincinnati at The Christ Hospital features expanded emergency and radiology departments, as well as state of the art CVICU and telemetry units.
