  •  Stipend (effective July 1, 2009) - includes meal allowance

  •  Long term disability insurance - (60% of base pay). There is a 180 consecutive day elimination period. There is an own occupation disability definition for 60 months.  There is no personal expense.
  •  Life insurance - coverage at 2 times annual stipend. Supplemental life insurance, dependent life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment plans are available at the resident’s expense.
  •  Health insurance cost per month.  1 option is available: Alliance Select

  • Uniform allowance $150 added to base pay for PGY-1; $125 for PGY-2 and 3.
  • Short term disability.
  • Vacation - 4 weeks.
  • Retirement - Optional participation in 403(b).
  • Tuition Reimbursement - 100% reimbursement for eligible course work when you receive a grade of C or better at accredited institutions.  For eligible courses, the plan pays up to $3,000 per calendar year (full-time residents).   
  • Virtually all teaching attending physicians of the Department are willing to serve as the personal physician of trainees and their families.
  • Employee assistance program which is a professional confidential counseling service.
